For Immediate Release June 23, 2008 New Amphitheater in Keizer Rapids Park With the delivery of almost 100 concrete blocks, construction has begun on the latest improvement at Keizer Rapids Park. The Keizer Rotary Amphitheater occupies an easily accessible location adding still another facet to the growing list of amenities at Keizer's latest point of interest. A venue for summer concerts,m festivals, and other like events, the amphitheater is another project which has been made possible through the coordination of both public and private resources. Delivery of the concrete blocks which will be used to stabilize the graded levels of the amphitheater was coordiinated by Clint Holland, Randy Miller and Rick Day, whose company Advantae Precast, Inc. donated some fo the building material and delivery. Excavation and setting of the blocks will begin by the end of June by Jerry Nuttbrock who is donating his equipment and time. Keizer Rotary donation of cash and manpower combined with Advantage Precasts represent a great deal of the construction cost. The specifics of placement, timing and design have been coordinated closely with the Keizer Parks and Keizer public resources department. The Keizer Rapids Regional Community Park encompasses a 120-acre parcel of land along the Willamette River. Currently managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department,m the property's limited infrastructure and public access means few people use or enjoy it. With the addition of several trails, a large dog-park and the Keizer Rotary Amphitheater, the park has realized a great deal of use. Advantage Precast, Inc., is a local company providing commercial and consumer precast concrete products throughout Oregon, SW Washington and Northern California. Corporate offices are located in Keizer, Oregon with additional production facilities in Lebanon and Medford, Oregon. Contact: Ken Whitler |
