West Coast Bank Unveils Memorial Fence at Woodburn West Branch

West Coast Bank’s Woodburn West branch recently unveiled a memorial fence in honor of the three officers who served at the bomb explosion on December 12, 2008. The beautifully ornate fence, which was designed and built by Garden Gallery Iron Works, features plaques with the officer’s names and provides space for community members to continue to honor these dedicated public workers.

The fence unveiling was particularly meaningful since Woodburn Chief Scott Russell, who was seriously injured during the incident, attended with his wife along with Senior Trooper William Hakim’s and Captain Tom Tennant’s families. Others in attendance were Marion County District Attorney Walter Beglau, Marion County Commissioner Patti Milne, and representatives from the Woodburn Police and Fire, FBI, Portland Police and Salem Police.

Woodburn Mayor Kathy Figley, West Coast Bank Woodburn West Branch Manager Ferren Taylor and West Coast Bank Regional President Ken Jundt recognized the selfless protection of the officers and the ongoing support of the Woodburn community.

The Woodburn West branch team, which is currently serving customers at the former Chamber of Commerce building, 2241 Country Club Road, is eagerly anticipating their move to the remodeled location in late July.
